Eau My Sin

Eau My Sin (1971) is Lanvin's lighter, brighter reinterpretation of the 1924 classic My Sin, built on a floral aldehyde structure. The opening is brisk and soapy-clean: aldehydes fizz over bergamot and neroli, giving a sunlit sparkle before the heart unfolds. There, orris and iris dominate—cool, rooty, and unmistakably powdery—flanked by rose, jasmine, coriander, and a second wave of bergamot and neroli that keeps the middle fresh rather than heavy. The base settles into sandalwood, styrax, patchouli, vanilla, and vetiver: a dry, slightly resinous woodiness with a soft vanilla undertow. Collectors who love vintage iris and aldehydic florals will find this compelling; it suits those who prefer elegant, formal, and slightly austere compositions over sweet or gourmand profiles.
