Cinéma Gold arrived in 2005 as a flanker to YSL's 2004 Cinéma, and for collectors it reads as a softer, more luminous take on the original's oriental-floral idea. The listed pyramid places everything up top: clementine and amaryllis open the composition alongside almond and vanilla, with peony, jasmine, cyclamen, amber and white musk rounding out the accord. In practice the floral accords dominate at 100%, supported by fruity, fresh and citrus facets at roughly 60%, with sweet and vanilla close behind at 58%. Expect a bright, rounded floral with a creamy almond-vanilla undertone rather than a heavy resinous oriental.
