Mar de Coral arrived in 2015 as part of Loewe's coastal-inspired line, and it opens with a rush of citrus that reads more kitchen-garden than beach: lemon, pomelo, yuzu, grapefruit and mandarin layered over tomato leaf and mint. That green, slightly bitter leaf note keeps the opening from turning into straight fruit juice, and the aromatic accord (60%) explains why it feels brisk rather than sweet. Give it a few minutes and the heart settles into neroli, lily-of-the-valley and jasmine — clean white florals that stay polite and never dominate.
