Il Calamaio

Il Calamaio opens on a single, deliberate stroke: ink, sharp and mineral, with the faint coolness of a nib lifted from a well. There is no citrus cushion here, no sweet lift-off — the top note stands alone before Turkish rose enters the heart, soft and velvety but kept in check by the ink's dry edge. As it settles, oud takes the base, lending the composition its woody, resinous weight and pulling the rose toward something darker and more austere.

The architecture is straightforward and legible: ink, rose, oud, in that order, with aromatic and woody facets threading through. This is a leather-family scent in spirit rather than a literal hide-and-smoke affair — collectors who want a rose-oud built around a dry, inky opening will find it here. Il Calamaio 以墨水作開場，乾澀、帶礦物感，像筆尖離開墨水瓶時那一絲涼意，沒有柑橘墊底，也沒有甜味修飾。中調的土耳其玫瑰柔軟如絨，卻被墨水的乾燥邊緣牽制，不至於流於甜美。基調由烏木接手，木質與樹脂感把玫瑰壓向更深、更嚴肅的方向，整體結構清楚：墨、玫瑰、烏木，層層遞進。
