A-24 Dior is a 1976 chypre floral composed by Edmond Roudnitska, and its architecture is unmistakably his: a bright, airy opening of aldehydes, lilac and jasmine that reads more white-floral than perfumey, followed by a green heart of narcissus and lily-of-the-valley. The base settles into oak moss, woodsy notes and amber, giving the composition its mossy, grounded finish. Collectors should expect the crisp, somewhat austere elegance typical of mid-century French chypres rather than a sweet or powdery scent.

The white floral and fresh accords dominate, with woody, green and mossy facets close behind, so this suits someone who appreciates restrained, green-tinged florals and classic mossy drydowns.
