Bleu de Chanel arrived in 2010 as Jacques Polge's answer to the modern men's woody aromatic, and this All-Over Spray carries the same architecture in a lighter, body-friendly format. The opening is bright and brisk: grapefruit and lemon cut with cold mint and a prickle of pink pepper. That citrus dominance (100% in the accord breakdown) gives way to a spiced heart of ginger and nutmeg, softened by jasmine and the smooth, woody-fuzzy presence of Iso E Super.

The base is where it earns its collector interest: incense and cedar over vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli, labdanum and white musk, producing the smoky-ambery trail that made the name ubiquitous. It suits men who want a clean, versatile signature that reads sharp in daylight and warmer after dark.
